Q: How much weight can the Take-A-Seat chair feature hold? A: The chair feature is rated to hold up to 500 lbs. with the 2" system and 350 lbs. when using the 1 1/4" system. Q: What's all included in my Take-A-Seat system? A: Your complete system includes: Take-A-Seat steel frame system, adapter for 2" or 1 1/4" receiver hitch, full set of black fabric including travel cover, all necessary hardware, anti-rattle tightener, bungee cords, cup holders and instruction booklet. Q: What if I drive a vehicle with a Class II, 1 1/4" hitch and our other vehicle has a 2" hitch? A: If you have 2 different hitch sizes, you are able to use the system with either vehicle, by purchasing an 1 1/4" adapter. Please click on the "Contact Us" button with any questions.
Q: How many bikes can the Take-A-Seat bike rack feature hold? A: The bike rack is able to securely transport up to 3 bikes. Q: I want to customize my system, what are my options? A: You are able to customize your system a few different ways. The material is able to be silk-screened or embroidered. We've also had customers sew patches onto the seat back as well as travel cover. To clean the material: Soak in cold, use mild detergent - line dry. Q: How does the system work? A: We have a brief video on YouTube that shows the system in each application, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21tQhWr68w8 Also, there is a "Flash Site" button at the top of each page. If you click on that "Flash Site" you will be able to go to each application and see a short video and animation of the system. Please note that the videos do not show the knob bolt design as we are in the process of updating the videos. It does however give an accurate overview of each application. If you go to the Pictures/Instructions page on the HTML site, you will find the instructions demonstrating the updated knob bolt design.
Q: I do not have a 2" receiver on my vehicle; will the Take-A-Seat work on my smaller 1 1/4" hitch? A: Our current offering is for 2" receivers only - BUT...........we now have an 1 1/4" adapter available - for Class I and II hitches!!! This adapter is an additional $20.00. Please click on the "Contact Us" button and email or call us with your questions. Q: Do I have to detach the system from my vehicle when it not in use? A: This is one of the great features for Take-A-Seat. When not in use, you simply close it into "travel" position and leave it attached to your vehicle stored in its all-weather cover. This is NOT recommended for long periods of time as road grime and rust may accumulate. Q: There is a little wobble or lift when I sit on my chair, how do I fix this? A: With the anti-rattle tightener included with your system, there shouldn't be any noticeable wobble or lift when sitting on the system. If there still is some mvement, please review the following to ensure a properly assembled unit: Make sure the main carriage bolts are tight - Be sure the main assembly bolt is tight - Is the unit placed far enough into the hitch and hitch pin in place? - When not sitting on the system, what is "wobbling"? If it is the unit itself in the hitch, be sure to use the anti-rattle tightening pin included with your system. If the lift occurs when sitting on the chair, be certain the knob bolts are tightened properly and washers are in their recessed positions. We also offer an anti-rattle LOCKING hitch pin, check it out on the "Buy Yours" page Q: Are there other options/attachments available? A: We are currently developing a table with cup holders and steel cargo carrier, as well as other unique additions. We also now have a super-cool shade option, the AutoMoBrella!!! Q: How do I change material colors? A: The material is simple to change. There are step-by-step instructions included in the box and on our website. Q: Am I able to lock my bikes while on the rack? A: Yes, a standard cable-style bike lock works great to ensure your bikes, stay "your" bikes. Q: What kind of "cargo" can I carry on my system? A: The Cargo Carrier application is intended for use as a "light-duty" cargo carrier. Coolers, luggage, strollers and certain style grills are able to be safely transported from point A to point B. Basically anything without sharp edges as you don't want to possibly damage the fabric. Hunting? Lay a tarp over the fabric before tying your prize hunt down... |
